Molly Kathryn O'Donnell is an Interior Architect & Designer from Danvers, Massachusetts. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in June of 2021 with her Bachelor's of Science in Interior Architecture and Design (CIDA accredited)Being raised north of Boston, she developed a love for architecture & design from her various experiences in and around the historic city.
As an organized and hardworking individual, Molly prides herself on her passion for purpose-led design in addition to her willingness to step up and be an effective team leader. She considers herself a perfectionist; cohesive, intentional design work is her signature.
Molly currently works as an interior architect & designer at Sasaki, an interdisciplinary design firm in downtown Boston. There she works on a variety of commercial projects in all stages for clients big and small. She's become an asset to the interiors department for rendering development. ​​​​​​​


ARTS & DESIGN EXPERIENCE

Molly has enjoyed art from a young age, always taking honors-level arts classes starting in middle school. In high school, she got a head start into the design community by working as an intern for both a luxury home staging business as well as a residential interior design studio. Sophomore through senior year Molly worked as an interior design intern at Taniya Nayak Design, a small firm in Milton, MA.  While studying for her degree, she took on a variety of project responsibilities to support her small team. This internship role gave Molly an opportunity equal to an entry level designer position.
She continues to involve herself our local professional design community through volunteer membership involvement with IIDA New England, serving as a social media marketing assistant within the communications committee. Molly was also recently promoted to the Director at Large seat for ASID New England, following her role as the Student Representative. 





AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS

Most recently, Molly was honored at the 2021 IIDA New England Annual Meeting as the first ever recipient of the
Student Member of the Year award in acknowledgement of both her volunteer contributions and her ongoing industry involvement. In December of 2020 she was also selected for her portfolio & essay submission as the recipient of the 
IIDA New England Student Scholarship.

In December of 2019 Molly was selected out of all of the United States & Canada as the winning recipient of the 2019 Target Scholarship & Mentorship Experience for her Stem to Stern Grocery Store project. 

In March of 2019 & 2020 Molly was honored as one of two undergraduate student finalists out of all of New England in the IIDA New England Design Awards for both her Mindful Chef Sustainable Office project as well as Hotel METRO.
